Juicy Burgers

The first assignment for this semester's typography class - an ad for the fictional "Juicy Burgers Frozen Entrees". Personally, I don't generally associate freezer aisle meat products with juicy, but I suppose thats neither here nor there...

We had to choose a specific historical style of design to inspire our ad. I chose the "Punk" style of the 70s and 80s, mostly because it is a ridiculous departure from the super feminine designs I usually do. I was going for a silkscreen, cut and paste type effect. I had fun with this, even though it really threw me out of my comfort zone.

Created in Photoshop CS6. Font is the old standby.. Market Deco. Maybe one day I'll stop using that damn font for everything. Stock images from stock.xchng.
